Hudson Soft (ハドソンソフト) was a video game developer and publisher that was formerly a subsidiary of Konami.

CQ Hudson

CQ Hudson (CQハドソン) was founded on May 18, 1973 by Hiroshi Kudo and Yuji Kudo as an amateur radio shop.

Hudson Soft

In September 1975, CQ Hudson began selling personal computer-related products as Hudson Soft (ハドソンソフト).

Hudson Soft Company, Limited

The company was reorganized as Hudson Soft Company, Limited (株式会社ハドソンソフト) in July 1985.

Acquisition by Konami

Hudson Soft became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Konami in April 2011.

Absorption into Konami

Hudson Soft was absorbed into Konami on March 1, 2012.

In July 1987, Hudson Soft developed the "C62 System", which would become the development kit for the PC Engine, the name the system was given when NEC released it in Japan on October 30, 1987. It would later be released outside of Japan as the TurboGrafx-16, however, it retained the PC Engine brand name in France.
