Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei (デジタル・デビル物 語女神転生, Dejitaru Debiru Sutōrī Megami Tensei, "Digital Devil Story: Reincarnation of the Goddess") is a role-playing video game by Atlus.
It was the second game based on the Megami Tensei series of novels by Japanese author Aya Nishitani.
Versions
Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Story was first released on Family Computer in Japan on September 22, 1987.
The game received an enhanced port titled Old Testament・Megami Tensei: Megami Tensei I・II on the Super Famicom by Opera House. Released on March 31, 1995, it contained Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Story and its sequel, Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei II.
Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Story received mobile phone ports in Japan for DoJa on February 26, 2004, J2ME on December 1, 2004, and BREW on September 29, 2005.
The Famicom version was released on the Wii Virtual Console in Japan on July 3, 2012. This version was also included in Namcot Collection in Japan for Nintendo Switch on October 23, 2020.
