ScottFree is a re-implementation of the scripting language and video game engine created by Scott Adams for the Adventure International text adventure games.
ScottFree is a portmanteau of Scott and freeware as well as a pun on the slang "scott free", or getting away with something without consequences.
Other implementations
An engine to play Scott Adams games was added to ScummVM, on December 9, 2018, that is based on ScottFree.
Games supported by ScottFree
Supported games include the TRS-80 versions of the Adventure International video games, the Mysterious Adventures series by Digital Fantasia, and other games created in the ScottFree format.
