History
New Line Productions, Inc. was founded in 1967 by Robert Shaye.
Acquisition
It was acquired by Turner Broadcasting System in 1994.
Turner merged with Time Warner in 1996.
New Line Cinema was merged with Warner Bros. Pictures in 2008.
AT&T purchased Time Warner, renaming it WarnerMedia.
WarnerMedia merged with Discovery in 2022, forming Warner Bros. Discovery. As a result, New Line Cinema is a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery.
