Downtown Nekketsu March: Super Awesome Field Day!, known in Japan as Downtown Nekketsu March: Let's Go to the Great Athletic Meet (ダウンタウン熱血行進曲 それゆけ大運動会, Downtown Nekketsu Kōshinkyoku: Soreyuke Daiundōkai), was originally released for the Family Computer, only in Japan in 1990.
It is the fifth game in the Kunio-kun series.
Versions
After its Famicom debut in 1990, it was then ported to the PC Engine Super CD and Game Boy in 1992. The Famicom version was emulated on the Game Boy Advance as part of Kunio-kun Nekketsu Collection 2 in 2005, and it was emulated on the Wii Virtual Console in 2007.
It was released in a compilation for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan in 2018 and worldwide in 2020, titled Double Dragon & Kunio-kun Retro Brawler Bundle. This was the first time the game was released in English.
