The original PC-9801 was released in October [[1982]].

The PC-9801 F1 and PC-9801 F2 were released in October [[1983]], followed by the PC-9801 E in November 1983.

The PC-9801 F3 was released in October [[1984]], followed by the PC-9801 M2 in November 1984.

The PC-9801 M3 was released in February [[1985]] and the PC-9801 U2 was released in June 1985.

The PC-9801 VF2, PC-9801 VM0, and PC-9801 were released in July 1985, followed by the PC-9801 VM4 in October 1985.
