| Ryo Hazuki saw his father die in front of his eyes at the hands of a Chinese man named Lan Di, when he was only 17.

| Vowing revenge, Ryo searches for clues in his hometown of Yokosuka, Japan.

| Ryo discovers that Lan Di is a high-ranking member of a Chinese cartel known as the Chi You Men.

| Lan Di took the dragon mirror, which Ryo's father had in his possession, not knowing that he also had its twin, the phoenix mirror.

| Ryo takes the phoenix mirror with him to Hong Kong, following Lan Di after learning that he had left Japan.

| Ryo searches for clues to Lan Di's whereabouts in Hong Kong, Kowloon, and Guilin.
