SIMS Co., Ltd. (シムス株式会社, Shimusu Kabushiki-gaisha), short for Soft development Innovation Multi Success), is a Japanese developer and publisher.
Sanritsu Denki
Sanritsu Denki was established as the video game arm of the electronics company Sanritsu in December 1973.
SIMS
On June 12, 1991, SIMS was established as a joint venture between Sanritsu and Sega. Sanritsu Denki was consolidated into SIMS, with 50 developers moving over to the new company.
SIMS became an independent company on June 25, 2004, when Representative Director Noboru Machida took control of Sega's shares of stock in the company.
