Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a crossover hack and slash video game that mixes the world of The Legend of Zelda with the gameplay of Dynasty Warriors.

It is the second game in the Hyrule Warriors series as well as a prequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Plot

A tiny mechanical guardian travels through a time portal one hundred years into the past from a period of time known as the Great Calamity when the evil Ganon awoke and destroyed the Kingdom of Hyrule in his Calamity Ganon form.

A hero named Link and a Sheikah named Impa who serves as Princess Zelda's protector awaken the guardian during an intense battle. King Rhoam of Hyrule makes Link a Knight of the Kingdom and tasks him with taking the guardian to engineers known as Purah and Robbie to learn more about it.
