Nick Fury is the name used by multiple characters that are part of an American multimedia series consisting of comics, television shows, films, music, and video games.

Nick Fury, Sr. was created in May 1962 by the Marvel Comics writer Stan Lee and the artist and writer Jack Kirby.

A version of the character based on the actor Samuel L. Jackson was created for the Ultimate Marvel imprint in the early 2000s.

When Samuel L. Jackson himself starred as the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a new character was added to the main Marvel Comics continuity based on Samuel L. Jackson named Nick Fury Jr.

Nick Fury, Jr. was created in January 2012 by the Marvel Comics team of Matt Fraction, Chris Yost, Scot Eaton, Cullen Bunn, and Paul Neary.

Nick Fury, Sr. had a son named Marcus Johnson.

His blood also contained the infinity formula, slowing down his aging as well.

He originally didn't know about his lineage, however he discovered that Nick Fury was his father when villains were pursuing him for the infinity formula in his veins.

After he learned about his father, he took the name Nick Fury, Jr.

He later went by Nick Fury when his father became a cosmically-aware being known as the Unseen.
