Neo Geo Mini is a series of miniature video game systems based on the SNK Neo Geo MVS.

They were conceived after the success of the NES Classic Edition and Super Nintendo Entertainment System Classic Edition miniature consoles by Nintendo.

Versions

The first version was released in Japan in 2018 and was followed by several other versions that were released internationally.

The international version was released in 2018, followed later that year by the Christmas edition.

Multiple Samurai Shodown-themed editions were released in 2019.

Specifications

The original Japanese version, the international version, the Samurai Shodown Nakoruru Edition, the Samurai Shodown Haohmaru Edition, and the Samurai Shodown Tachibana Edition contain forty built-in games, and the Christmas Edition and the Samurai Shodown Kuroko Edition contains forty-eight games. Although the games were the Neo Geo AES versions, the systems were designed to resemble the Neo Geo MVS arcade cabinet, which was first released in 1990. They contain an arcade stick with microswitches and four buttons, as well as a start and a select button. Each has games that are played through an emulator. External controllers can be connected via two USB-A connections. Games can be played on the small included screen, or via HDMI out on a television screen.
