Lupin III (ルパン三世, Rupan Sansei) was a maze video game released in arcades by Taito.

It was based on the Lupin the Third anime and was the first video game based on that property.

Versions

Taito released the arcade version in Japan in 1980. The upright arcade version was titled Lupin III. A cocktail table arcade version was released that was titled T.T. Lupin III.

There were two arcade versions. All characters in the original Japanese version were colored yellow and lacked music. The international version had multiple colors for the various characters, stage music, a stage clear jingle, and messages when stages are cleared.

CPU Software released an unofficial conversion to FM-7 computers in Japan in 1981.

The Japanese computer magazine I/O published a BASIC conversion by Teruo Matsuura for MZ-80K computers in 1983.

The international arcade version was, via emulation, included on the EGRET II Mini. It was released worldwide in 2022.
