Bruce Banner

Bruce Banner was a genius scientist.

He was working on an experiment with gamma radiation.

However, the experiment did not go as planned, and he got dosed with an intense amount of gamma radiation.

This affected him, turning his anger into a literal rage monster known as the Hulk.

Once his anger subsides, Hulk reverts back to his original Bruce Banner persona.

Bruce does everything in his power to keep from becoming the Hulk, however he usually doesn't succeed.

When he does, it doesn't last for long.

Hulk

Marvel comics

Bruce Banner became Hulk after he was accidentally caught in a gamma bomb blast while saving the teenager who accidentally drove into the area where the experiment was taking place.

Marvel Cinematic Universe

Bruce Banner became Hulk after he conducted the gamma radiation experiment on himself.

Merged Hulk

Bruce Banner had his personalities merged.

This resulted in a Hulk that kept the increased size and strength.

However, this Hulk also kept Banner's intelligence.
