Hase Seishū (馳 星周, Seishū Hase, born February 18, 1965) is the pen name of Toshihito Bandō (坂東 齢人, Bandō Toshihito), a Japanese author who is known for writing yakuza crime novels.

Working with Sega

Seishū was hired to advise the production of the 2005 Sega open world action-adventure game, Yakuza. He and series creator Toshihiro Nagoshi created the game's protagonist Kazuma Kiryu.
