Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light (ファイアーエムブレム 暗黒竜と光の剣) is a video game by Intelligent Systems and Nintendo Research & Development 1. It is the first game in the Fire Emblem series.

Versions

It was first released for the Family Computer in Japan in 1990. It was then released for the Virtual Console in Japan for Wii in 2009, for Nintendo 3DS in 2012, and for Wii U in 2014.

It was released for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2020. This is the first time that the game was translated and localized outside of Japan.
