Donkey Kong is a game by Nintendo R&D1. It was the twentieth Game & Watch game and the second game in the Donkey Kong series.

Plot

Mario has to rescue his girlfriend, Pauline, who has been kidnapped by Donkey Kong.

Donkey Kong was released as multi-screen Game & Watch system in 1982.

It was remade as part of Game & Watch Gallery 2 for Game Boy in 1997 in Japan and for Game Boy Color in 1998 in Australia, Europe, and North America.

It was released as part of the Nintendo Mini Classics line in 1998.

It was remade as part of Game & Watch Gallery 4 for Game Boy Advance in 2002.

Game & Watch Gallery 2 was released for Virtual Console on 3DS in 2014.
