Christian Whitehead created Retro Engine and co-created remakes of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic CD, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. He also granted access to the Sonic Origins team to use Retro Engine for the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 remake.
