Hi-Toro

In September 1982, after leaving Atari, Jay Miner formed Hi-Toro with other former Atari employees.

Amiga Corporation

By 1983, Hi-Toro was incorporated as Amiga.

Acquisition by Commodore International

Commodore International acquired Amiga Corporation on August 13, 1984. Amiga created a computer that was codenamed Lorraine, which was and would become known as the Amiga 500 upon its release by Commodore International in 1985.

Closure

Amiga Corporation was liquidated by Commodore International in 1987.
