Sorcery Saga 2 (魔導物語2, Madō Monogatari 2) is the second part of the Sorcery Saga series.

Releases

Sorcery Saga 2 was originally developed and published by Compile in Japan in a prototypical form as Sorcery Saga Episode II: Carbuncle (魔導物語 EPISODE II CARBUNCLE, Madō Monogatari Episode II: Carbuncle) on disc two of Disc Station Special: Christmas Edition for MSX on December 10, 1989.

The full version was developed and published by Compile in Japan as the second part of Sorcery Saga 1-2-3 (魔導物語1-2-3, Madō Monogatari 1-2-3) for MSX on June 15, 1990 and for PC-9801 on November 23, 1991.

Both versions were published by D4 Enterprise in Japan on Project EGG on Windows. The MSX version was released on Project EGG in Japan on November 26, 2004. The PC-9801 version was released on Project EGG in Japan on December 19, 2023.

Remake

Sorcery Saga 2 was remade as Sorcery Saga II: 16-year-old Arle (魔導物語II アルル16才, Madō Monogatari II: Arle 16-Sai) for Game Gear in Japan in 1994.

Fan translation

On February 21, 2024, fans Yuvi and SnowyAria translated Sorcery Saga 2 for PC-9801 from its original Japanese and released an unofficial English translation patch.
