Amiga Corporation is an Italian computer company.

Hi-Toro

In September 1982, after leaving Atari, Jay Miner formed Hi-Toro with other former Atari employees.

Amiga Corporation

By 1983, Hi-Toro was incorporated as Amiga.

Acquisition by Commodore International

Commodore International acquired Amiga Corporation on August 13, 1984. Amiga created a computer that was codenamed Lorraine, which was and would become known as the Amiga 500 upon its release by Commodore International in 1985.

Closure

Amiga Corporation was liquidated by Commodore International in 1987.

Sale of Amiga rights to Cloanto and formation of Amiga Corporation

In 2012, the Amiga intellectual property rights, up to 1993, were transferred to Cloanto.

On February 1, 2019, Amiga Inc. transferred its including Amiga trademarks and copyrights to C-A Acquisition. The latter was acquisition corporation owned by the director of Cloanto, Mike Battilana.

C-A Acquisition was renamed Amiga Corporation around 2020.
