AmigaOS 4 is a version of AmigaOS for PowerPC computers that was developed by Hyperion Entertainment.
It is primarily based on AmigaOS 3.1, which was developed by Commodore International. It also uses aspects of AmigaOS 3.9, which was developed by Haage & Partner.
Compatibility
AmigaOS 4 was designed to run on computers using AIM alliance PowerPC processors.
Release
AmigaOS 4 was first released in April 2004. Update 2 of the final edition of AmigaOS 4.1 was released on January 12, 2021.
